Shauno’s 80
A tough exterior for an even tougher rig. Shaun Whale’s 80 Series Landcruiser Sooty is one of the most recognisable 4x4s in Australia. Tackling some of the toughest tracks the country has to offer, Sooty has seen it all and was in need of a well-deserved refresh and rebuild.
An ambitious DIY project in the shed at home, with a couple of mates, industry experts, and some serious elbow grease, Sooty MKII is now ready to hit the tracks.
RAPTOR Coated from top to bottom, Shauno decided to carry on the Sooty tradition with a similar colour scheme and design to the original. Sooty’s exterior panels were painted using RAPTOR Tintable, tinted with Toyota 181 Bluish Silver L9245. Reducing the RAPTOR Coat by 15% for a smoother texture allowed Shauno to achieve his dream finish on his 80 Series.
Complete with custom bar work, coated in Black RAPTOR, Sooty MKII is ready to tackle whatever track Shauno points it at, with the assurance that it will continue to look fresh, tough, and stand against any challenge it faces!
